stefko@akpavela.czMartin Štefko is a leading Czech expert in labor law and social security law.
He is a lecturer in the Labor and Social Security Law Department of the Charles University Faculty of Law in Prague. He has been a scholar at the Max-Planck Institute for Foreign and Comparative Social Security Law, a visiting professor at NOVA Southeastern University in Florida, USA (2009), at the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium and a recipient of grants from the Grant Agency of the Academy of Sciences of the CR and the Czech Science Foundation.
He regularly takes part in academic conferences and publishes articles (e.g. Foreign Secondment of Employees, C.H.Beck 2009, Labour Law and Industrial Relations, CR, Kluwer Law Int. 2009, Labor Code Commentary, C.H.Beck 2008) and is a member of the editorial board of the European Labour Law Journal and the periodicals Právo and Národní pojištění. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Prague Labor Authority, from 2009 to 2011 he served in a data mailbox advisory group set up by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the CR and is registered as a mediator in team sports in the list MPSV CR.
His main activities in our law office was labor law and social security law, but he provided advice to clients in other areas of civil law.
He speaks Czech, English and German.
